• Hi!

Has anyone got anything bad to say about Carbondas? Esp for offroad? Some handsome frames like the CFR707. They also do nice paint 👌🏻. Any news on how Amey’s Carbonda’s getting on?

  • Amey's Carbonda eventually ended up with me. I then sold the frame on, then when the buyer went to build it up he discovered it had a cracked along the top tube seam. Carbonda said it was out of warranty and I did a partial refund and he got it repaired.
Prior to the crack incident it seemed like a great frame... I swapped out the Carbonda frame for a bombtrack hook ext-c which is quite possibly made by Carbonda anyway.
Anyway, tl:dr I'd probably take a risk on buying one, but would keep a careful eye on it and be prepared to warranty.
I believe their warranty is pretty much the same as you'd get from bombtrack or on-one or any of the other companies selling similar frames.

  • @cjr might have some feedback for you

  • Found pictures of that Carbonda crack. But it is an older model and am sure they'd have warrantied it if it had been within warranty period.

The second green Carbonda looks pretty much identical to my Bombtrack, would be surprised if they're not coming out of the same factory. I have done tons of quite rough off-road riding on that and it's been great.

  • I have a CF696? The new gravel one they do. Love the frame, paint is good, I went for purple/blue flick paint you featured.

It survived badlands and plenty of other rough stuff while loaded up.

Only issue was the fork cake bosses came loose when using everything cages. Also happed on my friend’s bombtrack for so…
They are willing to replace the fork for me, but only if I send proof I destroyed the current one. So I’d be months without a fork.

Also, I got Dynamo routing in the fork but couldn’t fit charger and light cable through the hole. Sure there are solutions to that.
