• Really wish I'd done mine but couldn't be arsed removing them again after fitting. Hollowgrams with spider ring I'd say are the nicest cranks of all time but quite a lot of faff to remove and install.
    The smooth clean lines on the hollowgrams looks great polished, no annoying difficult corners to get into either.

  • I work with them quite frequently so no faff.
    For one bike I snipped the outer ring and left the inner to run a 1x. On another bike I used an extra long axle, machined the lip off, and installed them as MTB cranks. All polished obviously, and working great.

  • Yeah if your doing them frequently it’s not too bad. Buying them and not realising you need proprietary tools was annoying though!

    I’m always jealous when people have the tools and knowledge to machine bits down. I fantasise about getting a lathe in the garage…

  • @Chak how did you figure out the axle length and chainline??
    @getoutofbed im wracking my brains at how to figure out if i can make them work for me
