Hmm, 175 which is not far off.
I'm away home to float the idea of a very reasonably priced frame for a project.

A wise man once said that 'it is easier to seek forgiveness than ask permission'... :-)

Ha, I have to keep that in mind!

"what, this old thing? I've had this for ages. Don't you remember? Yeah had it ages, bought it dead cheap ages ago."

And this is where all black bike are smart...
Purple > green is not so. Doh.

Just got back from a week in Mallorca and some amazing administrative errors ended up with me taking this bike with me.
400kms and 9000m of climbing later, over some actual real hills, and I can’t reiterate my previous comments more on how well this bike handles both up and down hill.
I know the hills there are hardly the Angliru but 120km days of 2800m really get you acquainted with your bike in ways you often wished not. With the new frame now here I’ll be stripping this so it’ll be ready to go.
Will give it a short time longer on here and then move to other forums, or perhaps just pop back in a box and put in storage.
Last shout.

A slight drop to bump this
£SOLD
Would be nice to get this sold to someone who’s going to use it rather than have to box up and put in storage.
-
• #61
I can't believe this hasn't sold.
Btw did you go Sigeyi or someone else for the mech hangers?
-
• #62
I know mate, me neither!
Couldn’t find availability of the Sigeyi ones at the time - Or they were looking like they were going to cost a few hundred quid or something stupid!
The ones I got are non-branded, but to all intents and purposes look identical from what I can see. -
• #63
I'll DM you for a link. I've snapped my spare.
Sorry for the derail!
-
• #64
No no worries mate - popped you a WhatsApp.
Didn’t realise that they were also over £45 a piece.
FWIW - anyone buying the frame will get £90+ of rear mech hangers 😂
-
• #65
Don't even get me started on the computer mounts...!
-
• #66
Haha - yeah there’s two of those aswell - about another £100 worth 😂
-
• #67
Hey, I wound up with covid so was out the game last week. Still available?
-
• #69
Haha - it’s funny you say that - I almost made you an offer of a swap on that in a semi-joking-semi-serious-semi-#buyer kind of way 😂
I would 100% do it were it not for the fact I just don’t have room for the kickr bike! -
• #70
Yup - still available!
-
• #71
Yeah you do. Its surprisingly small, genuinely.
Go on. It'll force me to get back to actually cycling outside. -
• #72
You should definitely swap this - the Kickr will be the only bike I can ever buy from you (in 6 months) that'll fit (via adjustment).
-
• #73
Few more pics as im taking it apart and boxing it up

• #74
Go on. It'll force me to get back to actually cycling outside.
swap you for a gravel bike?
(Sorry for the derail. If the last frame wasn't so good I'd be after this)
-
• #75
Sorry, have my winter/ occasional gravel bike that I rarely use already!
Reason @Dick’s bike works is I can put tri bars on it and it’s as fast as a tri bike (acc CT nerd podcast sometime last year)
Ah, but i may be wrong.... wont find out until my other shifter arrives
