I think back door from the same factory stuff is by far the minority these days. The vast majority of parts on there are just copies

Bugger. Have I broken a code of secrecy?

Haha no I just kind of want one and didn't want everyone and their mum's buying em first

Would risk it. Lots of counterfeits around. They usually break. Give it a Google

One listing has a black option as well… I’ve dreamt of the day I finally own a set of legit EEs and this feels too much like cheating myself. Let me know if you pull the trigger!

Thanks, this helps before I order any stuff. Sounds like it might be close to Castelli sizing.

Shit, I’d naively assumed the alix shimano chains were legit since they aren’t massively cheaper.
I think my mtb chain was from alix, I can’t really mind what the packaging was like but I wasn’t inspecting it since I hadn’t realised it could be fake.
It hasn’t snapped. Yet.

That's how they get you.
Just buy KMC, they make most of Shimano's chains anyway. Or Wippermann.

I was just coming to post about them - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/G4-Limited-Edition-Road-Bike-Time-Trial-Triathlon-Bicycle-Brake-Caliper-/154747036215?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
So who’s ordering first?

I would be keen on the Whisky depending on price etc. Drop me a PM, happy to chat when you sell :)

My overdraft says no thank you. It says a bigger no the legit ones though. So food for thought!

Shit, me too.
Not used one yet but have a couple lined up. Maybe better to just write them off. Expect I'll probably get stuck somewhere. Maybe use them on turbo is best plan. -

A lot of results about this. Some saying out of the box their chains were showing 0.75-1 on chain wear indicator
-
• #9966
I also would be very interested in these, are they flat mount?

Decathlon chains are KMC X11 branded and £15!

You've actually got to ride it. 🙄
If a chain snaps and nobody is riding it, has the chain actually snapped.....?

• #9970
I’ve not been riding it? My Nomad is the only bike I’ve been riding past couple months..

seriously tempting

Do you mean to imply I have too many bikes that don’t see enough use?! Then you’re quite right. That 12k road bike is nice and dusty in the spare room!
Kinda forgot about my thread, I might update it tomorrow with the stig. Also converter my fork to coil a couple weeks ago…

https://cycling100.com/products/carbonframe-seka-exceed-mintblue-953g
Anybody familiar with the brand Seka? They seem to be positioning themselves as more premium than competitors, with slightly cooler branding and packaging and whatnot. Their top level frame seems quite a bit more expensive than Winspace etc. Some are saying their frames are very similar to a Factor model, which I am not familiar with). I'm a mug and getting seduced by the slightly cooler branding and packaging.
I fear all of the information I have managed to find online is just from paid Youtubers and employees posing as impartial users.

Never heard of Seka but that dark blue one is certainly seducing me with its looks alone. Lots of nice touches on there and really nicely finished. What does that workout over a winspace £350 more? Still not a bad price. I paid more for my open mould tt frame than this and I've been really happy with it. I've gone Chinese with all my recent carbon wheels so I'm already fully on board the Chinese bandwagon.
Yes I believe they’re replicas. The description mentions the high price point of legit Cane Creek.
