  • Ah very nice, chunky bracelet is great.
I am also very tempted by 70s watches with edges right now.
Those Eternas are nice, there is a more extreme bracelet too.

  • That photo really show the watch great.

I like that I can see the 30, 45, etc. showing wear on the edges from usage.

  • My Friday fav. Bought it almost 30 years ago, used to be polished a few years ago breitling put new gold parts on it due to damage, but also satin finished the watch and bracelet really nicely.

  • So rare to get three Breitling's on a page that I thought I'd oblige.

  • Totally a fictitious spoof account...

  • I'm not a fan of busy breitlings but a watch with that much history /love. Damn

  • Psych!

The local WOS had one in for display purposes and I’d never tried one on so I thought I’d see what it was like. Answer: a bit of a hot mess, honestly.

  • I much preferred the new 41mm Sub.

“This might be your third Rolex purchase”, said the salesperson when I asked what the waiting lists were like these days.

  • Batman is so loud.

Still soft for the chocolate box inlay.

  • You wouldn’t believe it lad, I was a bike messenger in Chicago from 90-00, always watched Seinfeld on a Thursday, he had a breitling and a Klein mtb! Got hit by a drunk, got a payout, bought a Klein and a breitling of a watch guy I was delivering packages for. The stores still there called Howard Frum on Wabash. Used to ride with the watch for luck, all over the world, had it worked on by some real different folk so a lot of parts were not perfect. A few years ago was talking to a mate that’s mad on watches, he took it and sent it to Breitling, came back beautiful and still lucky, I don’t ride with it anymore the same lad got me a Rolex last year so I ride with that bit fussy though and the jubilee bracelet gets dirty on a building site

  • Thanks, it’s had a fair bit of use - I bought it 25ish years ago. Maplin and Webb had it in a sale for£650 when I was walking past one lunchtime. It was a choice between this and an omega, might have been a sea master, on a gopping green strap that was about£900

  • In keeping with the 70’s vibe discussion , I bought this as part of a job lot and it was in really lovely condition anyway . Sorted a service and light resto by STS ( £400) to sell and I couldn’t give it away.
It sat on my desk at home and I have grown quite fond of it . 1974 and in keeping with my Omega obsession it has an Omega movement that’s branded Tissot . It now keeps time as well as my new seamaster 300.

  • It will be a Mars watch!!

  • I seriously doubt that .

  • To be fair I do like the speedmaster “professional “ and have sold a couple since it’s launch and I still think it’s good value even at the new price . Best of luck in finding it a home . What you thinking of in it’s place?

  • If it’s vintage you’re after , I have a lovely chronostop and an as new 1991 Seamaster 200 for sale .

  • Oh shouldn’t have said that here as they on eBay . Sorry.
