I got lucky because freddo did the hard work and really knew the model and what he was looking for. Then he got a chance to buy a grail and maybe he's stopped searching now!
With inflation these days I'm not surprised about the price. I think they're massively underpriced in comparison with the Rolex Daytona.
It's rare that I see a watch I really really want so when this came up for sale I jumped on it. He got a Heuer Carrera in very good condition, last I heard he was very very happy with it.

I'll have a go. Trouble is that I've gone nocturnal. Trying to manage my ME but not doing well. So I don't see daylight. And my phone pics look awful without natural light.

Is that the correct bracelet? I'd love to get mine on a bracelet.
Mine has/had the original omega leather strap.

I saw that in the flesh but he had already agreed a sale with you, really nice watch, the dial is in lovely condition.
I think the third one was a flightmaster. I had to turn down the chance to buy it as I wasn't quite ready to buy 2 watches in a week! Not sure if it sold on here in the end.

Thank you for the kind words @Airhead and @goodhead. I’m happy to hear that both of these watches continue to be cherished.
I sold these with digital certificates containing history, the memomatic’s one is here which should answer @Grumpy_Git ‘a question:

The third watch I sold at the time was a blue dialled omega 176.007. A very nice piece but given rarity not quite as special as either of these two.
And yes, all the funds went towards an end-game watch for me, a Heuer 2447n. Thanks both for helping make that happen.

I know , they are a bit funkier. I also think people are getting beyond the quartz snobbery . I routinely look about . Not that I'm in a position to be spending at the moment. Financial controller has locked the safe and hidden the key.
As it is I have two watches for sale on the bay. -

Also, Quartz prob need less maintenance. Certainly a ball ache to service or wind you mechanical marvel.

Funny you say that - this came back from Tissot today. It was stopping - Alsal couldn't fix it, and Tissot said it was obsolete so they couldn't couldn't service it. However, it does appear to now be working fine...
