I think I am with @cozey on this, probably not worth it. It will be annoying but we will have to wait for an suitable opportunity (if porch gets work done on/house changes hands) and mention it then.
They don't have to do anything about it. They'll resent you for it, or at least be a bit confused that you even bought it up. If you buy that place, you are 100% stuck with it.
