I like it !

I managed to squeeze some 700x30 under my stainless guards on The Pest (red), so when the salt goes down the Kish will be going in the rafters.

Yes. Takes a while to fit them but worth it.

Mud locked the gravel bike tyres right up with the new mudguards, had to carry it out.

Don't like mud mud anyway.

I'm looking for 20" silver chrome alu stainless etc mudguards and came across these

but theres no info on the width and from my brief interaction with 'customer support' I get the impression they don't know either.

Anyone taken a punt on these before? They're cheap, but postage is £7 and I'd quite like to avoid wasting the money if they end up not being right.

Or anyone got an alternative to recommend?

Another q.. does anyone know where I can find some mudguard mounting hardware like the attached? Only need enough for 1 guard really, and the freshtripe VO kit is a fair bit more than I’d spend ideally.

Try SJS Cycles, usually pretty good for that kinda stuff.

Veloduo sell packs of r clips and eyebolts in pairs. Depends on which bits you need though.

Thanks for the suggestions, just looked and a pack of 4x r clips and 2x eye bolts is £18 including postage from Velo Duo 🥲. It stings particularly cos I only need 2x r clips and 1x eye bolts. Will check SJS again but couldn’t see those bits last time!

Their eBay shop is free postage, although still 14 or so for both packs.

I might have a few spares knocking around. Will take a look this afternoon. Bothered if they are black or silver?

This the right collection? Swear I had a set in silver but I reckon half an hour with a Dremel and a couple of new bolts would also work.

My winter / rain bike is a surly steamroller, it’s got a pair of PDW fenders, the middle one which are billed as taking up to 28mm tire, which is what I’ve been running since I got them.

The front rim is just about dead so as an interim measure I’ve switched over to another wheel which had 30mm tire, this fitted easily under the guard, I could probably get away with a 32mm tire by the look of it.

This is a bit of a revelation, checking the rear there is currently no way anything bigger will fit. However looking at this photo I reckon there is a but 3/4mm extra space if I can bodge a different brake bridge arrangement. I was thing a zip tie and some inner tube to stop the rattle. Is there any reason why this shouldn’t work. It might allow me the Clearance to run a 30mm tire. What do you think?

Why not file out the bracket hole? That's what I did to create more clearance.

I drilled my mudguard and used cable ties to attach at the brake bridge, worked perfectly.

Came here to post a similar question to above. My seat stay bridge has no holes to run bolts through. The guard is at the right height atm. The current temporary zip tie situation is creating rattle. I can add a bit of inner tube to stop rattling but wondering if any neater solution?

Drill the bridge, if you're not faint-hearted.

Maybe a trivial question, but should I go for silver or black mudguards for this? The paint is black with gold flecks. Having a difficult time deciding.

Also, does anyone have Pelago's 45mm guards? Are they likely to fit over the 38mm GKs here?

For 38mm tyres I'd recommend a 50mm guard if frame space allows. I run the GKs with 52mm VO Zeppelins
