There's only one answer to this. Trattoria Sostanza. I could eat that buttered chicken every day until it gave me a heart attack. Just delightful in every way.

Get a Florentine steak and white beans. Been to Florence twice and went straight back there. Going again this year and will be doing the same.

Me, and the beautiful Mrs JJ are going to be in Florence for one night in May.
Where should we eat?
Would rather go somewhere viby than high-end, but open to ideas.
