They do offer a lifetime warranty for the repair, but its non-transferable.
@hoops -correct me if Im way off- that frame was essentially a £500 repair and a £800 paintjob. Thats a bargain.

I still think about that.
I remember Hoops repaired sl6 coming up for sale and I thought that was a very fair price. I think a grand is about the most anyone would consider on a repaired frame.

Fair enough if the seller is out of pocket here somehow and just trying to recoup their costs.
But I don’t really understand how they can end up being out of pocket here if it was damaged in transit. Why wasn’t there an insurance policy in place that would cover your costs?
