It DOES NOT come with any warranty. It was posted to a customer and damaged in transit. The seat post dropped and cracked the narrowing part of the wheel arch. This has since been repaired by Carbon Bike Repair.
The headset recall has been carried out.
It comes with all the extra small bits that a new frameset would.
Just to be clear, it DOES NOT come with any warranty.

£3250 for a broken bike with no warranty seems tremendously good value.

I dont mean to ruin your business (I'll do anyway), but thats wild. £3.2k for a repaired frame where even the repair comes without a warranty. (Carbonbikerepairs T&C 11.5)

And I say that after having been the happy owner of a repaired carbon frame. But hey, I might be off, and you might sell it in no time, supply & demand etcetc

Fixed bike with no warranty. I doubt anyone would have noticed had I not mentioned it.

Yeh, won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. On the other hand, you don’t get much money off an S-works these days.

So what was the nature of the transaction with the customer who originally bought this? Are you a retailer? What’s the name of the business?
Could the business not claim insurance on the frame? Was it sent uninsured? Do you have photos of the damage before the repair? Have you seen many fucked frames on here sell for three grand? Have you seen any frames on here sell for three grand?

Have you seen this one with warranty for another £500?

These dropping seatposts are becoming an expensive problem recently

If they can't torque a seatpost properly, what else wasn't torqued properly? I'll give you £100 for it, if you post it.

I don't understand this. That sort of damage (usually) happens when someone sits on a bike whose seatpost isn't tight enough?

I sold a repaired and repainted SL6 Tarmac on here a while back for £1k, which at the time I thought was at the very top end of what I could get out of it, just FYI.

I’m sure there are more than a few people that would be willing to buy a repaired frame on here, as they are still totally useable things, but I think realistically the pricing on this is way to high for that to happen.

If RRP is 4k then the 3k seems more like cost price. So broken and unwarrantied I'd expect WAAAY lower pricing.

Indeed. There's a 'shop soiled' 52cm with the warranty still intact for 3.5k available with a quick Google. This just looks like trying to get away with making back everything they spent on frame + repair

On the up side, 'quietly hoping it sits in our warehouse for 18months and I can buy it' is a decent shout at this price.

Totally disregarding some questions I might have about the details of this (listed comprehensively by @TotalShanner), IMO £3.2k is at least twice the going rate, in any case. I could understand if it had been posted up at £1.6k (ask a bit more than you realistically expect to get, etc etc), but >3k?

I remember Hoops repaired sl6 coming up for sale and I thought that was a very fair price. I think a grand is about the most anyone would consider on a repaired frame.

Fair enough if the seller is out of pocket here somehow and just trying to recoup their costs.

But I don’t really understand how they can end up being out of pocket here if it was damaged in transit. Why wasn’t there an insurance policy in place that would cover your costs?

They do offer a lifetime warranty for the repair, but its non-transferable.

@hoops -correct me if Im way off- that frame was essentially a £500 repair and a £800 paintjob. Thats a bargain.

Original customer was getting a money-no-option dream build. Frame was damaged during re-boxing and replaced by us.

I'm not a retailer, but do manage one of the EBC branches. I've used LFGSS for a few years, privately. The frameset it's not being sold through normal business channels at the moment due to the warranty issue.

I hadn't, no. I did see the SL6 @hoops sold - I wanted to buy it.
Do you have photos of the damage before the repair?
I do now: (it's only the area within the white circled area - the white line is a carbon layer overlap). It was repaired by the same company Hoops used at a similar cost although we had the paint restored as well - not by hoops unfortunately.

If someone is generally interested drop me a DM. Think we'll drop to £2,500 given the general consensus.

It’s sad to see a business or anyone going out of pocket, but I don’t think £2500 really matches up with the general consensus here.
I suppose it’s worth whatever someone’s willing to pay though. But I’m sure you’ll understand it’s unlikely to get that sort of money on the forum.

An eBay auction is probably the best route for this.

How/ why on earth would anyone re-box this with the seat/ seatpost still inserted? They're usually fairly tight tolerance too, so even if the seatpost did slip, I seriously doubt it would damage the seat-tube at all.....unless some twonk did indeed sit on it while it wasn't torqued-up...
