after 7+ years of use minimum ...

Indeed. IIRC it was 2013 when the new crankset were brought in.

• #10654
Correct

As replied earlier a marmite set up.
Those who have them seem to love them with a passion.
I built a Black Edition Flame Lacquer last year and rode the donor P type I took the stem/bars from a short while.
It was interesting... -

Probably looking at 6k now per T-line…
-
• #10658
Is that when they added changeable rings?
-
• #10659
Yup! Surprising eh?
-
• #10660
Sorry miss understood, was that when the cranks and bottom brackets changed from iso to jis?
Not sure which bottom bracket I have on my bike. But have later cranks. So should I change the BB?
-
• #10661
Yup, changed BB AND crankset from ISO to JIS.
Your cranks are defiantly the earlier crankset and yeah might be time for a BB and crankset swap.
I'll double check what's the chainline is on an updated crankset tomorrow!

• #10662
I've ridden one of these, it's darn light and yeah 4 speed rear, shifting is not as smooth as expected and IF you try to hop off a kerb, the chain does drop off.

The full Ti or the p line?
-
• #10664
I've been riding my new p line a lot over the last few days - chain hasn't fallen off yet.
Freewheel is noisy af but that's about it -
• #10665
Full Ti!
-
• #10666
Nice!
I like a number of things, but of course I have a list of grievances 😂
-
• #10667
The obvious question is what's the weight?
And how does the ride compare with a Superlight/P Line? -
• #10668
I was hoping and thinking this would be ti frame and carbon forks, but the sound of things it looks like it might just be full ti. Impressive and a little disappointed in some strange way of mine.
-
• #10669
Full ti, carbon fork.

Words is that it is still going to be delayed again. Then again, as you said you’ll be very lucky to get one.
-
• #10671
Your wish came true... ;)
-
• #10672
Way lighter.
-
• #10673
9.87 kg with mudguards isn’t too bad.
-
• #10674
Thought it would be interesting to try like you say seems a marmite set up.When I've done it I'll report back.Out of interest why did you need a P Type stem ? (and what did you do with the bars)
-
• #10675
Carbon bars too!
Should be the same but per +sbbohr could be the taper on the cranks have flared and hence the chainring is closer than it was.
