Has anyone used any of the floor planning /interior design programs such as SketchUp or FloorPlanner? Are they any good? If so which is best / simplest to use?
Context is we're thinking of rejigging a few things in our place and, having had a false start a couple of years ago, we want to think it through a bit further before engaging architects, planning permission, etc.
It's a typical London victorian house with a room at the front, another in the middle and a third at the back, and we're thinking about knocking out one or both internal walls.
When we last went into it we got the architect to do plans, got planning permission, but then it fell apart when we tried to work out how we'd use the space, what furniture would go where, etc. So trying to avoid that this time.
