Looking for some recommendations for floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobes - anyone with positive experiences from particular joiners?
Not massively inspired by many of the options I can find online, although these guys are relatively local and seem to do a good job:

We went with ikea frames and custom fronts/fixings. Cheap and looked the business (until opened).
Be wary of the above approach being sold as 'fully custom'.

Love it. Congrats dude.
Through an unholy alliance of my work on the railway, and my wife getting involved in a local heritage society, i've ended up getting involved with the development of some derelict victorian steam engine sheds out here in darkest Kentfordshire. Really enjoying it so far. We've been doing drone surveys (the site is rail-locked, collapsing and riddled with asbestos) and doing initial planning and tracking down funding. . The idea is to turn them into a community space including a museum and a skatepark. We shall see how it goes.
One of the other schemes we've been thinking about kicking off, is improving a pedestrian underpass. It's the main pedestrian route between a residential part of town and the town centre and it has a host of issues, not least being that it's used as a urinal/vomitorium for pissheads staggering back from the pubs. It's also really badly designed so it floods every time it rains and is generally filthy.
I know we won't be able to stop pissheads being pissheads, but I'm hoping that we will be able to come up with ideas to beautify the space as much as possible and discourage it being used as a toilet. I'm thinking, rennovation, re-design of the weather-proofing, improved lighting, CCTV, plants, flowers, new artwork, regular cleaning etc.
Does anyone have any examples of a grotty underpass being turned around?

There's an underpass which is one of the main access to Catford Bridge station which was cleaned up and painted beautifully a few years ago. It's now covered in tags and litter and the urinating has never really stopped... (Although definitely less than it was pre cleanup)

I thought about proposing those outdoor urinals at either end but I can't see the residents whose houses are directly next to each end agreeing to it.
The house on the town side (whose front gate opens right at the top of the underpass steps )is this dude's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perou
Maybe he'd be up for it? He does seem like quite a community minded chap to be fair. Is it better to have a urinal outside your front door or a piss-stinking underpass just to the side of your front door?

Public places to urinate in are always a good idea, maintenance is key unfortunately.

Gira do Matt black.
I've got their switches and sockets (albeit in gloss white) throughout the house and they're lovely.

He’s taken my photo (along with about 5000 other people at Latitide festival, years ago) and he was lovely…bit pretentious but lovely!
I got the sense that he’d love the urinal idea 👌🏼 -

Has anyone used any of the floor planning /interior design programs such as SketchUp or FloorPlanner? Are they any good? If so which is best / simplest to use?
Context is we're thinking of rejigging a few things in our place and, having had a false start a couple of years ago, we want to think it through a bit further before engaging architects, planning permission, etc.
It's a typical London victorian house with a room at the front, another in the middle and a third at the back, and we're thinking about knocking out one or both internal walls.
When we last went into it we got the architect to do plans, got planning permission, but then it fell apart when we tried to work out how we'd use the space, what furniture would go where, etc. So trying to avoid that this time.

Does anyone have any suggestions for entrance hall lights? Our current one is ugly, but we've never replaced it out of a lack of imagination.
1950s semi so low ceilings, small/not grand. General style is mid century with a bit of Pinterest.
IKEA pricing rather than designer.
We also need to repaint. We originally just did everything bright white to get rid of the nicotine stains but now wonder if something off white or other neutral colour would be brighter as it might allow for brighter bulbs without being too harsh.
Cheers.

Also interested in this but for a Victorian terrace, really don’t want to end up with an exposed filament bulb is some black metal cage.
Not the right handle shape but somewhere for you to start - https://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/schlage-fortune-series-latch-furniture-satin-chrome-plate/p/205039
