Possibility of discussing options if the handlebar/stem setup is not to your size / liking - the steerer is a standard 1/8” and there’s a top cap to allow cable routing internally without routing through bars/stem.
The frame is both mechanical and electric so any group can be used.

Have a similar generation aero bike from a different manufacturer and am constantly surprised how comfortable modern aero (now relegated to history by ‘semi-aero’ bikes) can be. Agreed they climb way better than they have any right to also. Bargain for the frameset in the current market. GLWS

You’re right; it has consistently surprised me, in very good ways, and it’s a bit of a reluctant sale, as I know that this has so much that I will not get with other frames.

Do the cables go though the headtube?

They enter at the front top of the head tube, guided by the underside of the stem and the steerer spacers, and concealed underneath/inside the stem.

Absolutely not.
I was thinking earlier that I might just transfer a SRAM Force 1X group on to it, buy some cable pull brakes and use it as a crit bike!
