first ride = loved how fast the the frame seemed. I must adjust my position (saddle hight) and buy a 52t chainring.
soon I'll take better pictures
Merry x-mas to you all and stay safe and sane

Principia HHSB vanity build in progress. I acquired this from @Retro_Bastard recently and I've been spending the last few months acquiring bits for it. Waiting on saddle and new tyres and there's a few little details to sort otherwise (different stem + DA 7800 front brake). I want to switch out the fork too but not sure what to go for...
Ignore the long cable run on the front brake too...

Looking great 👌I had silver Thomson stem and post on a couple of my older Principias. Really nice with the rest of the silver you've got on there.

Spruced up my MX Leader for the New Year. New gear and brake cables and found some old black Merckx bottle cages.
And tired of gumwall tyres that look nice only until it rains, which is not a long wait here in January, I've gone full black tyres and have beefed up from 25c Vittoria's to 28c Veloflex Evo Corsa's which I got from @adamdenw so thanks for them, they make London's shite roads feel so much smoother.

The Principia looks awesome

I want to switch out the fork too but not sure what to go for
Hit and miss with fatter frames but seeing as you have an external headset a Wound up could be great with your colour combo. Looks great so far

Tyre change only my synapse, up to 35mm. Fit with plenty (5mm e/s) of clearance.

A few new bits to switch this from a gravel to road bike. May look out for a 120mm X2 and drop the stem a bit as it’s still at off-road height

Dumb mechanic question, but can you use 11 speed chainset with 12 speed component/chain?
-
• #129370
I don’t think so (at least with SRAM flat top chains), otherwise I’d be using a different chainset.
There are some aftermarket chainrings (carbon-ti etc) that apparently will play with AXS and may fit your current chainset

Was more thinking with Shimano, thinking placing it with my new Look, but with Look, they have their silly but nice crankset with their zed chainrings

what bars in gravel mode? look comfy!
-
• #129373
Yes and no depending on the chainring.
-
• #129374
I don't know about the other way around but I'm using a Sram flat top 12 speed chain on 11 speed shimano and it's been ok

Easton EC70 AX. I’m not a big fan of flared bars so these will be going up for sale shortly
patience is key I guess. The right parts for the right frame. I can never wait, I just want to get on and finish things. Having said that I never really stop tinkering with details...
