Loving your children seems like a more legit purchase motivator than any of the other nonsense, like 0-60, or lbs of torque.
This thread has caused me to apologise to my children for not loving them enough to buy a Range Rover when they were young. I am a bad parent.

I knew a loser who did the whole buy a SUV thing for when he was getting married and having kids, roof bars, dog gaurd and all. 15 years on he’s still single

I'd believe that a bit more if I'd ever seen one with 5 kids in.

That number appears to be a sheltered housing organisation

This makes zero sense. Hondas in third below Mercs?
OK I drive a Honda so I'm biased but BMW/Mercs/Audis have to make up the top three IMO.

You can call your son/ daughter Range Roger Sport 2.0
Surely you'd save that for the second child?

It features Dodge and Holden and refers to the drivers as Jerks so i don't think its a uk poll

Just seen this, did you try searching the car appreciation thread?
Isn't there a forum rule about only advertising items for sale in the classified section.
Has this made the popcorn thread yet?
-
• #287
I searched on Evoque and didn’t find one offered for sale in classifieds or any other thread.
I’ve never heard a rule about not offering things for sale on other threads.

While cycling (excruciatingly slowly) up Ditchling Beacon yesterday, I probably waved 25 drivers past. The only one to give a flash of hazards and a wave was a Vauxhall with a Scottish flag in the back. The only punishment pass was from a Porsche Cayenne. This was unsurprising to me.

The conversation is there. If search can't find it, does it mean it is not there?
Did a google site search but that comes up with nothing apart from this conversation. It is there along with quite a few other cars offered to forum members.

I'm just trying to sell my car as my two kids bikes, toys etc are too big for this and I need to upgrade boot space;
Get a smaller car and put the bikes on a roof rack
Bigger vehicles are more deadly in collisions, take up more road space and cause more congestion, create more noise pollution, have higher emissions
Yes actually I AM fun to be around

Porsche Cayenne
called it

Or travel with fewer kids/bikes/toys

Ha! Not always that easy.
Here is my aforementioned Galaxy with four bikes and luggage for a family of five, with five passengers

The duration, location, distance, type of accomodation and activities for your holiday are all choices, and the big car is a choice made to accommodate them.

Yeah I suppose.
Leyton to Clacton is a bit of a trot with three kids under 6. They were able to ride five miles at a time, so we could have done it by bike at a push

Kudos to anyone who takes young kids out on the road on bikes, especially three under 6!
Have done a bit of bike buddy stuff with inexperienced riders and it's nerve-wracking even if they're not yr own kids

Maybe it wasn’t an Evoque?

That packing is giving me anxiety

The passengers gave me anxiety. The packing was the least of my worries
