A huge selling point of the old one was the rear impact safety, as most 7 seaters aren't that safe for the rear 2 passengers. I assume the new ones are even better.
Loving your children seems like a more legit purchase motivator than any of the other nonsense, like 0-60, or lbs of torque.
I doubt it’s still the case but when I was car shopping, the new one hadn’t been involved in a fatality; pedestrian, occupant or other vehicle occupants. It had been around for some time at that point too.
