  • Professor green has something very similar. Yeah him, off the Ecover adverts

He also has that weird polarising tint windscreen which has gotta be made illegal

Every time I walk past it (regularly) parked I want to spray paint 'GREENWASH' on it. Damn, now I've incriminated myself if someone else does it

  • Are you leaving the pedal on it or should I bring my own for a test run? Oh almost forgot, will it take a gravel tyre?

  • When its been over 10 minutes since the last comment on a car ad on an urban cycling forum

  • I’m going to wait 5 years then dredge the thread with a cheery “Still available?”

  • Reminds me, I must check on the availability of those Lightweight wheels

  • The figures, which were based on data collected by police forces following accidents between 2000 and 2004 in Great Britain, showed that Defender drivers had a 1% chance of being killed or seriously injured and a 33% chance of sustaining any kind of injury. Other four-wheel-drive vehicles scored equally highly, and collectively these vehicles were much safer for their passengers than those in other classes such as passenger cars and MPVs. These figures reflect the fact that drivers of large mass vehicles are likely to be safer, often at the expense of other drivers if they collide with smaller cars.

The last sentence from the "Safety" section of the Land Rover wiki is just wonderful isn't it

  • These figures reflect the fact that drivers of large mass vehicles are likely to be safer, often at the expense of other drivers if they collide with smaller cars.

It’s an arms race to the biggest possible car…

  • This journey, to protect 'the most precious thing on earth' could only have been done in an Evoque:

  • you wouldn't download a car

  • This one gives it the all clear but the survey on the other one gives us a pretty poor 30.1% thats almost 3x as bad ad Audi drivers so i don't know what to believe anymore 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • I want to know what Volvo drivers make up that 1%?

I figured one would be safest from these kind of accusations in a Volvo…

  • The ones in XC90 T8s.

  • Phew, so 850R’s are still cool?

Not that I own one mind, but for future reference…

  • What car did @velocio have? Do they need banning ?

  • And the little C30 hot hatch (only really saying this because the one round the corner from us is driven by a complete arsehole).

  • Phew, so 850R’s are still cool?

    Always!

  • Is the XC90 not the new Range Rover?

  • Where does Tesla/do Tesla drivers fit into this?

  • Not an XC90. Those are the big SUVs the police have... I just have the much faster low slung V60 T8 Polestar.

Also... damn, I hadn't really looked at this thread, 🍿-central.

  • Yep. Also forgot the older Volvo Polestars, any in that distinctive shade of blue. Newer electric Polestar drivers can just be lumped with Tesla drivers in the 'sanctimonious cunt' bucket.

EDIT: had not seen Bossman's comment, if his Polestar is blue I'll be getting nuked in 3... 2... 1...

  • I know there's an XC90 owner in this thread but I shall name no names ;)

  • V60 T8 Polestar

    Cunt car ;)

    @elgonzo, also getting nuked…

  • EDIT: had not seen Bossman's comment, if his Polestar is blue I'll be getting nuked in 3... 2... 1...

    It's white.

And don't worry... no chargers around here so I just run the thing in petrol mode and forego being sanctimonious as it just makes me a cunt for driving such a fossil fuel burner.
