It was definitely an elbow in the face with no attempt to play the ball and Klopp's pretty keen on his position that no one should be allowed to touch a Liverpool player if it might possibly result in a slight injury so I was just expecting him to be consistent.

It wasnt an elbow but the petulant kick should have been a red but the fair play of Kostas saved Mason Mount

As @LePaton has highlighted Mason Mount's england status probably saved him today as it did for Harry Kane vs us recently - it;s a f&cked up world when your international status means you're virtually immune to red carding

It wasn't a red. Yellow maybe.

I know Im biased but as the old saying goes just because i,m paranoid doesnt mean the b4stards arent'l all out to get me . As in previous post i thought a draw was a fair result so no whining

I’ll add Mane was a red also.

At 0-2. A point was great. But what pleased me the most was chelsea played at higher tempo and dictated the game with a threat for 60/ 70mins.
Salahs goal was v good and shows the level he is playing at. The shot to chip mendy and save a great piece of play all round.
Kova played so well not just the goal but his all round game was brilliant.
City and pep pleased with the result.

100% a red

The technique for Kovas goal was both incredible and horrendous at once.
He’s incredibly underrated.

Yeah know what you mean at first I thought he shinned it but it was a clean strike. Really like him as a player hope he can stay fit. If he could add more goals it would be great.

I would sort of love it if this becomes the third age of Phil Jones and he emerges as the authoritative centreback Fergie promised.

Its the hope that gets you in the end.

Good thing I am not a United fan!

This is a Ronayism if ever there was one.

Guilty as charged, your honour.

So Liverpool fielded a more than competitive team on Sunday against Chelsea but they don't have 14 fit players for Thursday...get to fuck! Legendary whinging...

Strong rumours of Coutinho to Villa for a 6 month loan. Big risk, but could be exciting.
-
• #159870
He was a very special player at Liverpool. I don't understand what happened at Barca. Worth the risk, as he doesn't seem the type to unsettle the dressing room.

Looks like it's now been postponed for a week which will probably mean that Burnley away at Arsenal will be rearranged with just over 2 weeks notice.

Not known for my pro-liverpool bias, but 3-4 days is a fairly long time when it comes to highly infectious diseases. Obviously I hope they're made to play it and lose badly.

Will they be made to play a team of complete youngsters or forfeit their place in the FA Cup this weekend if they don’t have enough players fit/available by then?
Villa and Derby had to do this last year.

Add in the fact that three player have also just left for AFCON, the manager has it and assistant is now isolating, and the fact that they've tried to play every game to this point (unlike many prem sides) hardly make them the most obvious choice for opprobrium...

Exactly.
I hadnt thought of that angle but youre probably right
