The popo had blocked all the bridges. Once we'd all been hanging around there for a while I started shouting 'Rotherhithe Tunnel!' and the mass ended up going that way, the filth didn't block that.
i had fucked off to my country estate by that stage, had never seen the A12 so quiet -- guess everyone was watching the Lympic opening thing. i take pride in missing the 'must see' live TV events that people think everyone watched, mostly so i can use the roads or go to Sainsbury's in peace.
