Ruark MR1 mk2s would be my go to, particularly for a small space if you don’t want complete separates.
You could also roll your own with some 2nd hand bookshelf speakers (or something like Q-Acoustics 3020i) , and a Bluetooth class D amp and get an awful lot of bang/buck.
