Confused with who is actually making any sense…. That’s amusing.

I get what you’re saying, but you need to be specific with your comments I think.
It’s coming off as a bit vague.
Old cracked frame is gone, this one with the fucked post is still available .Price is £175

Trying a constructive comment :
The seattube is probably repairable but to recreate the curve + indent must be a harder job than most cracked straight tubes, so would likely cost more than 200£. Adding to that seatpost uncertainty, and repaired frames fetching about 300£ on ebay, not certain £175 makes it an attractive prospect -

It's such a random item; a nice new frame damaged but hasn't obviously been crashed. Perhaps a CF repair person can spin a tidy profit on it should they have the skills and materials to hand. Probably best to just let it run and see what happens.

Thank you.
I’m Open to offers, would rather see it fixed and used rather than scrapped!

Im surprised this sort of damage was possible!
I've seen frame manufacturers put a step inside to prevent this sort of catastrophic damage. I'm guessing from a liability perspective in case of user error.
So Giant/Liv expect more of their users... or was this bike taken on a "gravel ride" / ridden down a set of stairs with a loose post and the rider not getting off their seat?

Giant do advise to cut the seat post at a 45 degree angle to avoid this, it’s in the manual that comes with the bike.

I think this is just a poor design. If the 45° angle at the bottom is so important why not supply a seatpost with that already on it then and maybe add some parallel guide lines to follow if the user does need to cut it or offer 2 or 3 different post lengths depending on what the riders requirements or just put a lip in the seat post above the wheel arch or both. This clearly isn't the first time this has happened to one of these. I bet that omission in the warranty was added after Giant were already aware of this potential problem with these frames.
