last season there was little sympathy when half our first team were missing, including all our centre backs ?
In fairness to the Chelsea faithful on here, they were responding to a direct question rather than generally bemoaning the fact that they’ve suffered injuries and how unjust that is. The fact you’re still banging on about it shows you maybe need to get over last season. 😉

we did have a lot of injuries though
-
• #159829
Oh really? You should have mentioned it at the time.

That's not like Liverpool fans, they just keep their heads down and get on with it. They're happy to accept the fickleness of fate without whinging and moaning etc.

Physically I am fine. But I'm NOT happy with the situation at Chelsea. Tuchel has chosen to play with another system - I won't give up, I'll be professional. I am not happy with the situation but I am professional - and I can't give up now.
Seems that all is well at Chelsea

Rams giving the escape a good go...

I don’t want to get my hopes up. We know what happens to our form from February onwards…
If we beat Reading though I might allow myself to believe the escape is on.
Really need a new owner to be sorted though so we don’t lose many (or any) players in January.

Just checked the Utd Burnley result and saw that a certain Lennon scored. Had to do a double check that it actually was Aaron Lennon, hard to believe he’s only 34.
-
• #159835
Yeah, I did a double take when it came up on sky sports last night.

Thank god for VAR , truly the product of a genius
-
• #159837
VAR is pish and shouldn't be in the game imo but if it is going to be in the game, at least implement it properly fs

It does nothing to improve football. It does lots to worsen it. It costs a fortune. It supports that scary modern idea of perfect experts.
Thankfully I can laugh at those arsenal fans who told me that finally bullshit decisions would be removed.
-
• #159839
VAR does absolutely nothing, it just shifts the mistakes elsewhere or just gives someone elses decision on a 50/50 call.
Would be fascinated to see how many contentious decisions have been made in a season pre VAR and then with VAR, imagine its pretty much identical.
-
• #159840
They didn't even have a reason to go to VAR - everyone knows Arsenal never make bad challenges.
-
• #159841
Can’t remember anyone getting so excited about a team losing 2-1 before.
-
• #159842
If you can't rationalise the pleasing aspect of losing 2-1 versus 5-1, with a performance that easily merited a win then perhaps football is little too complicated for you!

I just thought coverage like this was a bit OTT. Arsenal were ‘outstanding’ and ‘offered the rest of the league a blueprint’. Lol.
Feels like a 2-1 loss is being celebrated as the most significant result for Arsenal since 2004.

I think picking Liews flouncey prose as anything other than an opinion piece is cherry picking and a bit cheap to then reflect that on the fanbase as a whole.
The arsenal fans who are happy with this result are the ones who have seen us do fuck all but put 11 players on the pitch at kick off. Arsenal were 3 questionable decisions, and a deeply professional opponent, away from a comprehensive victory over a top 4 club. Something unseen for years at the Emirates.

Where is COVID when we need it?

Mason Mount of England.
I see a trend.

Looking forward to Klopp's post match interview where he spends it all complaining about Mane not being sent off for endangering the safety of the players.

nothing like an early reducer to set the tone of the game
fuuuuccckkk threw away two points there, thought we had it at 2-0 but chelsea fought back and earned the point, fair result in the end
kante showed his class today, what a player he is

This would be the non elbow where the Chelsea player embarrassingly play acted? contrast where Kostas was petulantly kicked by Mount but just got up and saved Mount a red card - overall a draw probably fair but bit of a sickener from 2-0
-

Definitely a red, and im not even a Liverpool fan.
to be fair i probably moaned a bit too much, hence my being told to shut up about it
