I received this Zara Home watch box for Christmas. It’s nicely made with a glass panel and hessian lining.
I’ve struggled to find one that wasn’t leather clad or ridiculously expensive so i’m very happy with it. I might have to get another.

Not bad at all, that. Thumbs up for the diverse collection too - diver, sports, dress, chronograph…

Thank you, I’m happy with them. It’s easy with Seiko being affordable and so numerous.
I am on the lookout for two more though if you happen to come across either of 7A28-7030 or 4502-7001 in gold. I’m struggling to find ones in the UK.

Long time lurker (mostly post in cargo bikes) but always look at this sub-forum due to my Product design background. Anyway, my 10 year old Seiko Kinetic Diver (5M62 movement) started doing a 2 second sweep and won't hold charge overnight.
It's been worn pretty much daily for the past 10 years, but over the past year I've noticed I can feel the rotor weight can seem to stick and it needs a bit of a whack to jolt it free again so this might have led to the depleted capacitor. No matter how much oscillating I do with the watch I cannot get it out of the 2 second sweep.
Any recommendations for who best to get to look at this West London way? (live W5 area). Or do I just post off to Seiko in sunny Slough? Looks like it could be a simple fix, but lack tools and by the time I purchase these and play around I might be best to get it done by someone who knows what they're doing!
Ta very much!

You live in the Brentham Estate? Nice. Have you tried the Clock Gallery on Pitshanger lane? I've never been in there, but have always been curious.

MrsDeth had a kinetic Seiko, I bought a replacement capacitor kit and installed it.
Never worked again.(Not helpful other than it isn't as easy as a battery swap)

I would speak to Seiko. The few times I’ve dealt with Seiko UK they’ve been very helpful.

I found this one on Chrono and negotiated a good price. Got it sent to the watchmaker first, as apparently it hasn’t been touched since the early 90s when it was purchased. It arrived today and the guy sent me some photos. He reckons it’s virtually unworn and certain that it’s never been opened before. He’ll service it and I should have it in a couple of months hopefully. There’s a 20% of chance that the hands are seized and can be damaged during removal for service. Fingers crossed as the tritium looks so good.
