• Long time lurker (mostly post in cargo bikes) but always look at this sub-forum due to my Product design background. Anyway, my 10 year old Seiko Kinetic Diver (5M62 movement) started doing a 2 second sweep and won't hold charge overnight.

It's been worn pretty much daily for the past 10 years, but over the past year I've noticed I can feel the rotor weight can seem to stick and it needs a bit of a whack to jolt it free again so this might have led to the depleted capacitor. No matter how much oscillating I do with the watch I cannot get it out of the 2 second sweep.

Any recommendations for who best to get to look at this West London way? (live W5 area). Or do I just post off to Seiko in sunny Slough? Looks like it could be a simple fix, but lack tools and by the time I purchase these and play around I might be best to get it done by someone who knows what they're doing!

    Ta very much!
