Recent experience of Municipal police give me the impresion that calling them does fuck all and they are a law on to themselves. Also they don't like foreign people.

police ... don't like foreign people.

Which models are they using?

• #25383
Yeah being told that as I'm in France why am I not speaking French.
Never been that blatant.
-
• #25384
Same with the English really.
-
• #25385
True. Constantly being asked why I'm not speaking French.

All cops aux français.

Get back to work plebs, you can cough and wear a mask while you work

Anecdotally I can say that I'm on my 8th day of isolation and still testing positive on LFTs, despite never actually displaying any of the main three symptoms, so presumably still infectious...at least in my throat and up my nose!

How do you feel about keeping schools open considering omicrom seems to be effecting children more now? It’s concerning for me.

Wife gave a positive LFT yesterday after waking up with sweats. Also had a sore throat yesterday / felt a bit knackered.
Negative PCR this morning… 🤷🏼♂️
Daughter also negative and waiting for mine.

29 custom models with about 60 datasets in the library to be fiddled with. All specific to California and a few other states.

This is a good article on omicron in children in a US context:
I think you are a teacher from memory? My wife is a primary school teacher and I am involved in education. I still think we need to do everything possible to keep schools open as the lost development and learning over the past 21 months bas been pretty devastating.

Any idea which actual models / framework?
Are they publishing?

Any idea which actual models / framework?
Are they publishing?
I'm not sure I understand. These are models they have developed.
No, they are not publishing. They're a large finance forecasting company that lucked out on some good predictions in the US for the Delta wave (which ended up being used by a State), just trying to see if they can extend their "luck" with Omicron. I assume with a view to eventually offering a modelling service for the pandemic, if any of their new models turn out ok. Securities and commodity forecasting is their main thing.

More specifically, are they using transfer training on pre-trained networks. Which would make sense, as there are a lot of them around, particularly in the public health field.
I guess if they are building 29 models, then the answer to the framework question is - all of them?
-
• #25396
There's a bunch of supervised learning in some of the models too.
I don't know the answer to your question off the top of my head. Will delve into GitHub later and DM you.

Ah, I can't be bothered.

I did just write a super long round up of the past 6 months but annoyingly lost it.
Shame.

Just don't.

OK, OK. But I wasn't going to be kind.
I understood the immune system has several components.
Some "remember" for several months to a lifetime and can quickly make antibodies specific to a disease vector, so after vaccination those are ready to react.
Others actively patrol but those fade quicker. But they will react very fast to COVID and usually stop active infections.
Unfortunately, Omicron is good at breakthrough infections when the active patrolling antibodies have faded.
So the booster kicks off the patrolling ones again. And also the memory ones but those last probably at least 2 years for COVID.
For tetanus shots you get about 10 years memory.
Immune system = super complex but here's a fun video: https://youtu.be/lXfEK8G8CUI
Expecting somebody on here to correct me soon though as I'm not sure I got it 100%
Now omicron spreads fast and pushes out less fast spreading Corona viruses.
But I'm not sure that means an even faster spreading but more dangerous variety that slowly makes you sick / kills slowly can't happen... A fast spreading fast making you very ill / dead virus usually fades out.
We have to wait and see...
