  • I think I'd agree with the powdery description. It was fine, but heavy going after Xmas lunch.

This on the other hand was delicious and very heavy on the plum

  • Stu Mostow Holiday Stout after a Dog H. Yeah, I went backwards, dealwithit.gif

  • Boxing day starts with a 2021 Fuller's Vintage, easing me into the beers today.
Strong on the malt this year (no bad thing for me)

Have a Northern Monk Death and a Tiny Rebel Dooms Night (imperial stouts) lined up for later.

  • Lazy Sunday afternoon beer

  • Thought that was DJ Harvey at first!

  • Big on the peaty notes

  • Uncanny resemblance. I read your post as PJ Harvey at first though...

  • Avoid the Omnipollo/Buxton Wild Berries ice cream imperial stout from Tesco. Absolutely forgettable. The Lidl Love Lane imperial stout was better at less than half the price.

  • Tartarus King Arthur Barley Wine, very sweet.

  • Think the portman group might internally combust if they spot this one

  • Feels both easy to drink and boozy.

  • Boltmaker for the win.

  • This is batshit crazy. I can taste most of these flavours. Definitely a one-off beer though at Omnipollo prices

  • That's a coincidence. My local pub was advertising an Omnipollo takeover and I was thinking it's not a brewery I recognise. Now I know who they are.

  • Incredible booze but mad prices too. That said their Noa Scoop is the best stout I’ve ever tasted

  • Quiet night in

  • I had a bottle of this last night

    Nice but pricey

  • Surprise tastiness from the local Sainsbos. The pour is very impressive, lovely keg type mouthfeel.

Why is it brewed in Ohio?

  • Had this last night. Was nice enough but lacking in both the chocolate and orange.

  • My back to back death match taste test between Rochefort 10 and Abt 12 ended with Abt 12 winning and me missing the fireworks last night.

  • Tesco in Dundee stocking Munchen cooking lager.. Augustiner-Bräu next?
