I think I'd agree with the powdery description. It was fine, but heavy going after Xmas lunch.

This on the other hand was delicious and very heavy on the plum

Boxing day starts with a 2021 Fuller's Vintage, easing me into the beers today.
Strong on the malt this year (no bad thing for me)

Have a Northern Monk Death and a Tiny Rebel Dooms Night (imperial stouts) lined up for later.

Avoid the Omnipollo/Buxton Wild Berries ice cream imperial stout from Tesco. Absolutely forgettable. The Lidl Love Lane imperial stout was better at less than half the price.

That's a coincidence. My local pub was advertising an Omnipollo takeover and I was thinking it's not a brewery I recognise. Now I know who they are.

Incredible booze but mad prices too. That said their Noa Scoop is the best stout I’ve ever tasted

Surprise tastiness from the local Sainsbos. The pour is very impressive, lovely keg type mouthfeel.
