I swear more and more ads are just an unfiltered version of the Exec Creative Directors wanky manifesto.

It's like it gets read out at the creative development meetings and the brand just says "let's just film that next week"

Anyone an expert on Facebook pages? The Facebook page for the PTFA I am treasurer for has had its page taken down and all admins removed (we think we may have fallen foul of gambling rules with a raffle), not getting anywhere with the standard forms, anyone have any back door solutions?!

I have plenty of contacts at FB for the work we do with them but, if there's one thing I've learnt, it's that you're not getting any support unless you're a big ad spender.

Unfortunately you'll have to keep going through their automated support process...

Arses, the biggest issue is that the person who is in charge of the facebook page is completely useless, and I stupidly didn't add myself as a page admin, so I am reliant on her filling in the forms. gah.

Good:
Pepsi advert with Santa driving the "coke" Christmas lorry, stopping for a Pepsi at a petrol station. Made me chuckle.

I'd love to direct a perfume ad. How does one get into that? Are they done by well known fashion photographers or something? Because they sure as shit aren't made by anyone with any grasp of moving image.

You need some connection into the industry, so probably more straight forward for fashion photographers. Joe Wright did some for Chanel with Keira Knightley who was also in some of his films. Chris Cunningham also did one.
