It’s possible he was exposed and was carrying the bug prior to Spain but tested negative on lateral flow on the way there and back.
Day 2 PCR caught the end of it, and NHS PCR is negative.In theory, due to Positive day 2 PCR, not sure he’s supposed to come out or isolation for a number of more days?

What are people's opinions on this:
My son went to Spain a few days ago and tested negative on lateral flow before coming back to the UK but then had a positive returned from his 2 day PCR. He then did another (NHS this time) because he didn't believe it and that has just come back negative.
My wife is now pushing for us all to go to her parents for Christmas dinner, I think we shouldn't.
