Yeah I think I might. I was also thinking of fitting a switch at the battery. I can't see there being a parasitic load. I have wired a USB charger in, but I took the fuse out of it.

Did you solder the connections ;)
At a guess you have the three phase, not the single phase and some move the reg/rec in to the airflow to help it survive for longer.

Get a lithium battery. I had to redo all the alternator wiring on the 900ss. Replaced the lead acid battery with a Shorai and it’s 8lbs lighter!
Lithium batteries basically don’t go flat as long as there is no parasitic load.
