  • Yeah I thought it was ok but not not the heady heights of what I had expected - at least it wasn’t too spenny

  • Had my negative covid test after 48 hours isolating since getting to France so popped to the supermarket to get supplies. Disappointingly Auchan only had Christmas versions of kronenbourg and grimbergen. The kronenbourg basically tastes like kronenbourg with some Christmas syrup in it. Tbf still enjoyable as I'm on holiday and not at home.

  • Micro c00ps selected this for Santa's tipple for Christmas Eve...

The carrot for the reindeer has seen better days though.

Good choice, hope you Santa enjoys it.

    Pics please!

  • Tonight, quite similar herbiness to the Carolus

  • The Verdant x Beak collaboration is a nicer beer. Although not stand out like some of their respective beers

  • A fine selection

  • Four for your amazing drinking lagers pleasure

  • Snaffled a small local breweries collection to get me through the present wrapping. Some good stuff - Neepsend American pale is v tasty - but the tiramisu stout is a total duff. Strangely looking forward to the bitter.

  • Northern Monk Festive Star is delicious.
Vanilla, Cinnamon & Chocolate porter (normal strength, 5.x%)
Like a cake in a glass. Wish I'd picked up more than 2

(I am a few beers in and might have a different opinion tomorrow)

  • Absolute piss take. How can they make it taste so sexy? It tastes like strawberries and pecans.

  • Where does that stack up in their normal line up?

  • It's excellent, close to the 12 and not a spice bomb like most Belgian Christmas beers.

  • It's decent enough and sub 5%. I didn't fancy a 12%er after all today.

  • ^^ +1 my favourite of the Xmas ales this year. I have another bottle which I'm probably going to stash for 12 months now.
