What was your/wife's impression of general SE vibes?

Was a solo mission. It was the first time I have been to those parts for 7 -8 years, but was a nice ride down.

That's really odd, I guess it's supposed to be impressive but the shoddy build quality, Howdens cabinets, cheap furniture and fixtures really throws it off. The uncanny house.

As a pool, but as a plunge pool or a skating rink?

Leaseholders..!
Myself and the four other flats have a good title lease with the manaagement company, who themselves are ran by the 5 flats and have a good title lease with an absent freeholder. Is it worth spending money upgrading both titles from good to absolute?
Quote below from my solicitor who did my conveyancing earlier in the year.
My fees for dealing with the upgrades of the titles will be £400 +VAT for the upgrade of the head lease title and £150 +VAT for each of the respective leasehold titles. In addition to this there will be Land Registry fees payable of £40 per application.
Been doing some research on it but wanted a second opinion. Cheers!

Anyone got contact for an emergency boiler guy in SE6? Starting to leak oil and water from the boiler itself.

• #50291
I used these in SE13 last year for a boiler service last year and had no complaints, not used them for anything else though https://asplumbingandgas.co.uk/

All sorted/debt on meters removed (belatedly found the gas meter had £180 owed too…) - took a week, and a few trips to specific newsagents that do replacement keys/cards that can reset the meter/wipe out the old balance owed. Could probably do it in a day if I knew what to ask for in advance too.
Roll on next month when we can ask to exchange to credit meters and get the smart ones too.

Whole stack looks 'interesting'

what’s weird is it looks like someone’s been up there at some point to put this supporting wire around it but somehow decided against actually fixing the issue.
anyway, hopefully it’ll all be rectified in the next few weeks

Absolutely, yep.
Back of the house too, plus the back yard’s walls are all coming down and being rebuilt. Making the most of renting 4 mins walk away, so doing everything we can before moving in.
Went to see that Carholme Road house. Needs a fortune spent on it. I have never seen such an over grown garden. It was like Jumanji.
