My OG ones eventually split at the side after the combo of completely smooth dole and a sweaty tiled kitchen floor lead me to a quality slide where it was a choice if my groin giving out it the slippers; the latter took one for the team and split along the outside edge.
Obviously I repaired them with gaffa tape. This did not meet with unqualified spousal approval.
So, I now have a new pair and am anticipating another decade plus of warm, comfy feet.

I sewed mine up a bit either side to make them more fitted.
