Actually (genuinely) it isn’t.
Priscilla in her autobiography says that they “kissed and tickled” and nothing more until their marriage when she was 22.

Bloody freaky…. But I suppose plausible as he had “purity” before marriage as a religious tenet.

Still no excuse though. None at all.
