Sure but we are talking about people that have never done an LFT ever, not just the last week or so. They have been generally available since at least March.
Sure, and if I'd had anything to say about that I would have replied to a post about it or quoted something and replied to that. I was simply replying to PhilDAS's post that made it sound like there were little or no problems with getting LFDs.
I've got nothing to add on why the yoof aren't using LFDs, as pretty much everyone I know is doing them regularly for all manner of reasons (school, jobs, pre-going out, etc) so I've got no insight at all into people that aren't.
[EDIT - Tried the website again and this time my order went through. Interestingly it now says they "should arrive within 3 days."]

I can see how you wouldn't have done a LFT/PCR, but I think me and girlfriend have a relatively quiet life compared to most.

Anti-vaxxers block-book appointments to stop people getting life-saving Covid jab
Tactic said to have been used at Wembley Stadium vaccination centre in London, but disrupted pre-bookings offset by walk-ins
Fucking hell.
(I can't actually read the article as it's on the Telegraph)

Nothing against the actual content in that ^ chart, but the fact that they axis break for a single value, where they would've taken up less space putting actual the value itself in instead is driving me up the wall.

I heard a 1/3 of London isn't vaccinated...
London has the 10 worst local authorities in England for booster jab uptake amongst the over 50s. Out of the worst performing LA's nationally only six are outside London apparently

I suppose I'm confused by how it ties up exactly with lft testing threshold. Or is that because LFTs are really good at detecting if you're infectious? Obviously I'm somewhat preoccupied with how infectious I am (I think I'm on day 6 and have just tested negative). Not about to leave house but am assuming doing some distant childcare with a mask on is probably relatively low risk. Though am pretty sure they would have got it off me already if they were going to as must have been infectious for at least a day before realising I had it.

Yes, I had the same question. Is infectious period something to do with the way the virus works over time or purely viral load?

Basically LTF detect whether you're spreading the plague, and PCR detect whether you have the plague?

So lockdown from the 27th. Will anyone actually listen Bozza and do it?

Oh FFS. So sure go visit your olds for Christmas, and make sure you all travel at the same time as everyone else.
I don't know. I guess most people are self-regulating atm, I don't think these cut-off points very close to Christmas are helpful but on the other hand I don't know what would be better. -

Quock question about Canada again (apologies) - If we are asked if we have a place to quarantine, we have booked 2 days in a hotel to await our results, but havent booked anything more because if we test positive we will extend our time in the hotel. Is this sufficient? Or are we to have booked the full 14 days? (that doesnt makes sense but I may be wrong)

I will be, but I doubt it will be well adhered to overall.
Where have you seen this?
SAGE have been asking for a 2 week circuit breaker for a few days now, word on the street (as in leaks to journalists) is that is what is being prepared. I think it might be for four weeks, depending on how the admissions data for London goes this week.
That confirmed yet?
No, but its looking quite likely.

BBC staff reporting the same thing as well which is where I have heard it from (but not pubically confirming it). I guess its not a full lockdown per say as it looks like its the same position on working as it it at the moment.
