try picking one of those up and running away anyway
I wouldn’t rely on that, you’d be much better just D-locking the frame to something. Mine weighs about 40kg with the box on it and I have no problem picking it up. There really isn’t much of me. You get a couple of chancers come past in a van and they’ll throw it in the back and drive off before you’ve even had time to turn around.
Not got a handy photo, but I lock the rear wheel to the frame of my Harry vs Larry with a Fahgettaboutit. I’ll also loop a cable around a post if one is handy - but for a 30 minute lock-up that’s all I bother with.
I’m pretty sure it’s the only Bullitt in the Greater Gloucester area, try picking one of those up and running away anyway.
The truth is that with a battery angle grinder and a slitting disc no lock is safe (well, certainly no bicycle lock). Add in a hoodie and CCTV is useless as well.
If I were a bicycle thief I can’t think of one that I’ve seen ‘secured’ that I couldn’t have stolen in seconds.
It’s a little like protecting your house against burglars - just make it harder to burgle than your neighbours.
