Think it's here on google maps, but it's not visible due to shadows and crappy quality.

Maybe she should have sold the bootleg of his racist rant that seems to be forgotten.

Having just listed something on Gumtree as 'free to collector' I decided to browse other free items. I thoroughly recommend it if you have a dull 10 mins to fill.
This is the highlight so far:

Edit, this is a good one as well:

Everything seems to work except fir the fact that the microwave doesn’t heat up food!

I was actually tempted to buy the gun and give it to my ‘modern art is rubbish’ mate. Obviously I’d tell him I paid £300 for it.

I had got my FB marketplace algorithm so it was showing me all sorts of wacky stuff. Sadly I’ve ruined it now by searching for actual things I wanted to buy too many times.

It seems like there isn't a recording available in the wild. Maybe someone was at the Birmingham 1976 concert and has/had one, but buried it.
Having never looked into this before, I can't believe it's not very common knowledge Fuck knows how he had a career afterwards!
There's a 2015 twitter post linking to an EC Wiki page, mentioning that the outburst is quoted verbatim and looking for a recording. The Wiki has been edited in the past year and now shows no mention. He doesn't seem to have apologised, beyond blaming being drunk.
So does Clapton still agree with what he said? “My feeling about this hasn’t changed, really,” he insists. “Years later, when I played at the Mandela concert, one of the promoters said: ‘You know that this is your chance to apologise formally for what you said.’ And I thought: ‘You must be fucking joking.’ I was so insulted.”

He’s full on with the anti vax Covid stuff as well. Proper Jabroni

The rant gets hidden from the clapton life programs. @eskay when I learned about the outburst, my musical life changed.
I mention it often, as I find it offensive as a forin person, and the fact of where blues music comes from. Oh and if you have an issue with my comment, is it still ok to listen to gary glitter? Oh it was 72 so acceptable?

Can we now accept he is an utter despicable person?

I am British and white and I find it offensive

Yes

It's not unknown - the Clapton rant was cited as the spark for the creation of Rock against Racism and the people involved regularly remind us of that. Pops up in the news every so often and actually quite a lot in the last year given his involvement with Van Morrison in anti-vax bullshit.
I suspect that, of that portion of the Great White British Public that remembers him, a significant proportion still quietly agree with his views and a larger chunk just don't want to hear about it because they don't want to feel guilty about playing Layla on the jukebox/spotify.

Don’t forget that he also threw his kid out of a window and then wrote one of his biggest-selling songs about it.
Found this, but couldn't spot it on Google Maps.
