The acoustics of that golden piano must be truly awful.
Its quite a famous piano. Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were pianists and it was made for them by a piano maker in Framce. Their buddy, Felix Mendelssohn, used to come round and play it for them to show off its full capabilities (it's one of the first double escapement pianos to be made). Nobody seems to be brave enough to say whether it sounds shit or not though.
