Modern Warfare is farked since the last update. Flipping from one menu screen to another, error codes, getting kicked out of game and just straight freezing.
How they've managed to downgrade a game is actually quite impressive. All so we can have an Xmas event in Warzone, which I barely play. Krampus looks cool though

I did my new PC build yesterday. Decidedly understated by comparison.

Nice. Swap the 12700 for a 10700KF and the 3080 for a 3080Ti and we’ve basically got the same PC.

I’m going for 5120x1440 at at least 60Fps in iRacing, Asetto Corsa etc so 🤞🏻 it’s faster-er-er.

still staggered at the price of GPUs now

I got the 3080 in Jan last year and winced at spending £650 on it (and also grumbled at being on the wait list for 3 months)
Consoled myself that I'd managed to sell two 1080's and a 1080Ti for what, at the time, were decent prices.

I'd have sold the old cards for double the price now but bought the 3080 for double too. So it's all worked out the same. Still crazy money.

Krampus is not cool - chases you around for 3 minutes, near impossible to kill & gives away you position on the map the whole time! It like they're purposefully trying to annoy their customer base!

The anti-cheat has dropped though which is nice. I've won one & come 2nd a few times today with more kills than usual. Which may be coincidence or may show the level of the problem before.
New map is good though!

they really need to hurry up, so far i've switched from a 3060ti to a 3070ti, upgraded the ram from 3000mhz to 3600mhz, bought another 32gb to install myself and i'm dangerously close to getting another M2 drive to stage downloads before I move them to my nas.

I've also got about 6 games waiting to install immediately when i get it.

Not sure they need to hurry up, if they leave it another fortnight you'll have talked yourself into an i9-12900k and a 3090 :D

If you were still after the Noctua fan btw then I got the adapter kit and it was a cinch to install. Noctua actually send them over free for affected motherboards, though mine's still somewhere between Austria and here so I ended up buying it from Amazon too for a tenner.

DDR5 update: There still isn't any.

With hindsight I'd have just bought a DDR4 MB and used the RAM I've currently got. However having waited this long I'll be damned if I'm gonna give up now.

Nah. Retailers (official ones) just don’t have any. CEX are buying them from people at more than rrp and then selling at massive markup.

Other sites are doing the same.

Wheel is shipping today apparently so I just had a quick controller check.
Runs FH5 on Extreme settings, 5210x1440 at locked 60 with 50% GOU utilisation or around 86 fps, 97% when unlocked.
