The headline seems to be suggesting Omicron is more likely to reinfect people who have had Omicron (than Delta is to reinfect people who have had Delta), but I guess what the study actually showed is that, if you have had Delta, you are five times more likely to get Omicron than to get Delta again, right?

Important to note that the authors admit that we don’t yet have sufficient data to get the full picture of omicron. It’s definitely looking to be more easily spread than Delta, and there’s no reason to believe it’s less pathological. Big spoiler is that 2x vaccine doses offer pretty low protection…
