• @PQR am in an almost identical boat here, but with a nine month old daughter in the mix too. Partner can't understand why 2 of my 3 bro's won't vaccinate or even test for our planned get together (at my folks house), what's difficult for (triple jabbed) me is I find the personal choice argument quite compelling, and my (triple jabbed) parents don't seem to give a sh*t either way; mum just wants to see all her boys at Christmas.

Would relish the opportunity to talk to them too, find out where their views comes from.

As commented elsewhere, now the government have categorically said they're not cancelling Christmas, I'm obviously expecting it to be cancelled anyway.

  • Not getting jabbed is, I suppose, a personal choice. Albeit a shit and selfish one.
Not testing yourself is, I'm afraid, a cunt's move.

Except if getting the jab reduces your chances of actually getting infected and spreading it.

  • 'but the swabs give you cancer!'

(They are sterilised with a gas that if you inhaled a lot of routinely probably would give you cancer. The quantities present by that time it gets to your nose are not a problem.)
