I noticed the same thing on Warzone when I changed over to PS5 (from PS4std) - I'm in the pregame lobby ranking up my weapons for ages before the games now!

finally got to the open world area in halo - lovely stuff. could maybe be down for co-op at some point

I just stepped out onto the ring last night then had to come off. Really loving it so far though solo even normal does feel very easy.

was just watching some vids to check best approach to open world... and I didn't even realise the game was fully open world with side quests, bounties etc - p.cool. will try put in some more time tonight

In other news, looks like a new Splinter Cell game is on the way, wahey!
It's also rumoured to be open world, so probably just a relatively generic Far Cry/Assassins Creed/Watch Dogs-style game with night-vision goggles, boo!

Good and bad news there! If you're looking for a tight single player experience, the Guardians of the Galaxy game is really good. I picked it up cheap on black friday, and really surprised how enjoyable it is, even as someone who's not really into super heros and doesn't really know who all the characters are.

Put football manager in whilst waiting for halo to download yesterday, now I've hardly slept and am addicted to football manager.

I've not kicked the FM habit since playing a few weeks ago, desperately want to start Halo Infinite but there's too much joy in signing Brazilian wonderkids for my struggling Cardiff side

Can't find an XBox Series X for love nor money around here... is the Series S worth it?

Not gamed apart from a bit of Civ5 and 6 in over a decade but loving the Quest 2, so fun and relaxing to play a bit of Walkabout golf or Racket:NX on a lunch break

It'll play football manager perfectly.

Series S is really good. Especially if you don’t have a 4k TV.

Series X is better though. More consistent frame rate etc

On a separate note, does anyone have one of those handheld retroid things from a few pages back?

Are the games basically pirated and free to download?

I've got one, although not really got round to sorting it.

It has a standard android OS and some custom OS which has a load of ROMs on there. I somehow deleted the custom OS with all the ROMs whilst updating so will need to download them all (I probably already have a lot) from various dubious sources.

I finally got to play a sniper just now but my spotter left so i was on my own. found a nice empty barn and managed about 20 kills. fairly pleased. Very hard to shoot over distance, unsurprisingly. Might dip in again in a minute.
