What can I do? No point getting wound up about something I can’t change. Also, first world problems, my customs bill is too high on my rare bike with SR than I’m importing that I’ll get to use maybe 20 times a year…

fair point. Still sucks. Hopefully it'll work out okay and you'll get some of the money back.

It’s here! It’s also in perfect condition. On my way to work to strip, clean, re-grease and polish.

I’ll take some better pictures when it’s sunny.

Looks lovely! Worth it in the end?

Considering the condition, yes. After a re-grease all the bearings are smooth and there is no pitting. The frame only has a few marks on the paint. Apart from someone being ham fisted with the headset at one point it is about as perfect as you could hope a bike of this age can be.

That is damn cool.
Also great to see Clive Mitchell Cycles! I spent far too much of my teenage earnings in their old shop in Truro back in the 90s. I have set of wheels they built for me still spinning..Mavic Sunsets, Hope etc. -

We still have a shop in Truro, we just also have the one I work at in Summercourt now.

Good to hear they're doing well, I don't live down there anymore (unfortunately/work etc) - it was a great little place and the guys would help me and my mates out all the time.
I had a similar experience. It was an absolute faff figuring out what forms I needed to fill in to claim the duty back. I posted everything away last week, will let you know when I hear back.
