The Luddites were people who wished to retain control of their lives and means of production. They wanted to keep there families togther as family groups not to see their children sent to work in the factories often commin home horriably mutilated or even not comming home at all.
To use their name as an insult is to do the masters, the capatilists bidding! Free of charge, of course.
