Maybe the fat content of scraps is insignificant compared to, say, pouring chip and frying fat down the drain. The idea is that the scraps are ground to very small pieces so will not clump in normal conditions. But if someone has just dumped a chip fryers worth of fat, a bunch of wet wipes and several nappies I guess all bets are off.
As long as it isn't too fatty and doesn't block the sewers I presume?
