There was just an advert on the radio encouraging me to not stick fat or other food waste down the drain which seems reasonable enough. But if you should never put food waste down the drain why do waste disposal units exist?
It seems that it's possibly more environmental sound to render food scraps as liquid and have it treated as per sewage, compared to burning or landfill.
