Check on Discogs to see if any are worth anything and sell there. Some record shops will take collections, depending on content. Otherwise a charity shop is your friend (libraries are mostly offloading their CDs also).
If you do have anything interesting, post in sales here?

At least that was what I did when I shifted all mine 10yrs ago. App let you scan the barcodes so it was pretty quick, then they did a prepaid label to post to them.
I got nowhere near what they were 'worth'. But then given they'd been in boxes for a decade then evidently they weren't worth anything to me anymore, so the couple of hundred quid was vastly better than that.
Still seems they have the app and the same free posting

When I used this I found quite a lot were worth like 1 penny - gave these to the neighbourhood via middle class fly tipping and they went surprisingly quickly.
But about 10% were inexplicably worth a reasonable amount. £3 say. Not the ones you would have guessed either. Which made it worth doing.

^this or if you're in London, take them to a Music & Video Exchange (Notting Hill; Greenwich) and see if they'll buy them from you (you'll need photo ID/proof of address to sell to them).
Did that with a load of records not long ago, so much easier than ebay'ing. -

Still not decided yet. Dusted off the old cd player and listened to some early Pink Floyd while deciding what to do.
I'll give MusicMagpie a go this week to see if any have 'value', then might take @hvsds advice and take them into a shop to see what I can for the rest. I'm not fussed about making money, more than they don't end up in a landfill somewhere. -

If you strip the 'value' most shops won't take the leftovers

Couple of years ago my ex sold a few thousand CDs to Rat Records in Camberwell. Didn't get much for them, but they came and collected, which is good.
Going through a general house declutter and have a stack of music CDs that I'm not sure what to do with. It would be a faff for me to post on places like eBay to sell, not to mention probably end up costing me more to sell. Can these things be donated to local libraries or other charities, and if so, can anyone recommend in the SE1 area.
