Yes, heard a few examples of this, hence us getting the PCRs. Realistically my daughters positive LTF is highly likely to be correct, so the big question is whether my wife and I pick it up off her or whether our double jabs give enough protection.
Annoyingly we both have our boosters booked for Wednesday, obviously if we remain negative it would be good to get boosted, but we can't both go at the same time as someone has to stay with the 6 year old, but cant get onto the NHS site to move mine to another day...

Both my daughters have had it, both my wife and I have avoided it.
It seems some people spread and some don't. Makes no sense to me.

Yes, it has been working its way through the school, and it seems to be 50/50 if the parents get it.
Did your daughters have any symptoms? Wondering if that has an effect, my daughter currently has zero symptoms. -

To be fair, I had this message last night, waiting 12 hours and was able to get some, so think most of the time it is just a temporary issue.

Some symptoms, fairly mild.

Thanks.
Well fingers crossed that we can avoid it and therefore Christmas is not entirely thrown out of the window.

Obviously this is shit, but you can still use https://maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/ to get a collect code and pick up from local pharmacy.

^ & ^^^^ we've got some here for now, but useful to know ta.
Still getting 50% failure rate at point of transferring drops to test kit... the liquid is in the tube but once I tip it nothing will come out, then it is like the liquid has evaporated.
I remember why I quit science lab stuff now.

^ yes I close the lid btw.

No failure since I started squeezing the tube to squeeze the swab on the way out. At the ridges seems less likely to crack the tube.

I've always done this. Fuck knows why half don't work. It must be error on my part but I can't find a difference between when they work vs not.

Are there any at local pharmacies where you are? I got mine at Boots.

I have an unopened box of LFT (because I got it for the Christmas do but then I cancelled cos of Omicron) happy to post it if anybody on here is really stuck :)
It has to come from Belfast, so at best it's 2 days 1st class, but just PM me if you want it.

My local swimming pool has a stack of LFTs on the reception counter. You can just pick up a box as you walk past. My daughters can pick them up at school in a similar way too.

Ah, that is indeed interesting.. Wondering if I can get to Peterborough while I am over at Christmas (which in itself seems a ridiculous idea)

Secondary household attack rate for vaccinated is 15% and 25% for unvaccinated (for Delta)
though thats not taking into account a 5 month post jab 2 AZ waning.
boosting and Omicron will alter things for better and worse. -

I was attempting to book it at 5am, I wasn't expecting the website to be overloaded with requests to be honest.

Contact at work tested positive. I was working closely with them on Friday. If its tbe omnicom variant do I have to isolate even if I test negative?
Reading the advice and I'm slightly confused on it

Where was this from?
Here's the regulation, which I think matches up with what I said. I think the relevant bits are from 1 to 5. It's not exactly a straight forward read so there is every chance I've misinterpreted it!
Someone shared this before when I was in a similar position.

Can anyone remember what the travel rules to/from France were last year when we had a lock down?
Struggling to find an answer as all the recent news/info hits get in the way.
Cheers.
