Missed this. Agree that last race should be as equal as all others, I just miss the added variable of potential for rain, somewhat uncertain track temp, etc. that Suzuka and Interlagos threw into the mix more often than not. We take yesterday's race as a prime example, had it not been for the safety car incidents and last lap shitshow it was a pretty humdrum race. I think we can agree that the most exciting races, whether championship deciders or not, are ones where rain comes into play in one way or another.
I'm not advocating for artificially wet GPs like Bernie's sprinklers idea from a while back , just think that holding the final race in a desert where there's close to zero chance of rain (we'll leave the shit track argument aside) is a bit poo.
Other than being far superior tracks, what those two have that Abu Dhabi doesn't have is the potential for weather. Takes a big factor of unpredictability out of the equation.
